Episkopi Summer Fete

and worked very hard to make sure SSAFA was a major part of Summer Fete.
This year’s Episkopi Summer Fete was held in Happy Valley as usual. The weather was
spectacular and this brought in a lot of people which is expected as it is the premier event
in the BFC calendar.
SSAFA was there in force as usual. The first marquee was the SSAFA tea and cake tent
which was ably run by volunteers from the Episkopi Service In-Committee. The next marquee
housed the Cyprus In-Service Volunteers headed up by Ann Macdougall and their ever
popular Bric-a-Brac stand. The second half of the marquee was used by Branch who were
selling SSAFA branded merchandise and also had a Children’s game called Fish a Duck.
Every child who managed to fish out a duck from a paddling pool won a prize.
The final area was run by SSAFA Social Services who had a quiet area where kids were read
a story while Mums and Dads consumed their purchases from the Tea Tent. The SSAFA
nutritional advisor was giving away healthy fresh fruit drinks (which she had been up since
