Flt Lt Mike Rankine set off from RAF Akrotiri today to cycle, unaided to RAF Brize Norton in the UK and he has called the track the Super Trooper!

SSAFA's Akrotiri Fundraising Team had a grand depart today with a breakfast bap, porridge for the cyclists and champagne. He was then joined a host of other cyclists including lots of families whom cycled with him to the Main Gate. A team of keen cyclists joined him to cycle as far as they could on his first leg to the Troodos Mountains and then on to the North of the island.

We wish Flt Lt Rankine the best of luck with his adventure, and will certainly be cheering him island-wide in Cyprus!
